The history of Cognac Roullet dates back to the XVIII century, to a place
called Le Goulet in the village of Foussignac located to the north of Jarnac in
the Cognac region. This is a place of the Roullet family vineyards since 1772
and this is where Paul Frédéric Roullet founded Cognac Roullet in 1780. For
almost
250 years the family descendants and cellar masters have been creating great
spirits under the Roullet trade name, passing through the family their
experience, savoir-faire and family traditions.
History
The centuries-old history of success
Roullet Cognac House was one of the first producers, who began selling
cognac in glass bottles in 1783. One of the Roullet family members settled in
Paris in the Hotel Genlis at Dauphin street to sell bottled cognac in the capital.
It was unusual and aroused keen interest among cognac connoisseurs. The
demand for Cognac Roullet products rose sharply during that time.
